Electric cars in Nepal, without the noise.
Start with the cars that solve a real buying problem, then compare the full electric market by price, range, clearance and the exact Nepal variant.
Range is only one part of the decision.
An EV that looks strongest on a spreadsheet can still be the wrong fit if it sits too low for your roads, costs too much for the extra battery, or gives you charging hardware you do not need. NepalRoads treats price, range cycle, ground clearance, body size and verified equipment as separate decision inputs.
Five EVs worth opening first.
These are starting points, not a road-test leaderboard. Each one represents a different buyer need using recorded Nepal-market price/specification data from the recovered master.
Proton eMas 5
A lower-priced current electric SUV in the recovered Nepal dataset, with useful everyday equipment.
BYD Atto 2
Compact dimensions, 200 mm recorded clearance and a familiar EV-SUV format make it an easy benchmark.
Hyundai CRETA ELECTRIC
A mainstream SUV shape with 200 mm recorded clearance and multiple Nepal-market price points.
Leapmotor B10
A strong published-range figure paired with a feature-heavy compact-SUV package.
Mahindra BE 6
A larger, more technology-led EV with high recorded range and 207 mm clearance.
Three useful ways to scan EVs.
Price, range and road clearance answer different questions. Use them as filters, not as a single score.

What matters before you spend.
The expensive mistake is choosing from one headline number. Work through these four checks before you settle on a model or variant.
WLTP, MIDC, NEDC and CLTC are different test methods. Do not treat 400 km on one cycle as automatically better than 380 km on another.
Look at ground clearance together with wheelbase, tyre profile and the roads or ramps you actually use.
A few extra battery kilowatt-hours can matter less than charging speed and the charging setup you can use regularly.
ADAS, cameras, sunroof, seat features and charging hardware can differ between variants. Verify the exact local grade.
Shortlist first. Compare second.

Electric cars in Nepal: FAQ.
What is the best electric car in Nepal?
There is no single best EV for every buyer. Price, range cycle, ground clearance, charging access, cabin space and the exact Nepal-market variant matter more than one headline ranking.
How should I compare EV range figures?
Check the test cycle first. WLTP, MIDC, NEDC and CLTC figures are not directly interchangeable, so compare like with like where possible and keep a practical buffer for real-world driving.
Is ground clearance important for an EV in Nepal?
Yes. Ground clearance, wheelbase, tyre profile and suspension all affect how comfortable an EV is on rough roads, ramps and broken surfaces. Clearance should be considered together with the car’s overall proportions.
Should I choose the biggest battery available?
Not automatically. A larger battery can improve range, but price, charging speed, vehicle weight and your normal daily distance can make a smaller-battery variant the better value.
Are NepalRoads EV prices official?
NepalRoads prioritises current Nepal distributor pricing and source-backed Nepal-market information. If a price or specification is not confirmed, the model page should say so rather than inventing a number.
